Jose A. Sencianes on Salvaje Fest 2025
Born in Madrid and adopted by Málaga, he showed an early interest in both painting and nature, with birds undoubtedly becoming the central focus of his attention. He holds a degree in Design from the San Telmo School of Visual Arts in Málaga and has worked for over 25 years with publishers and institutions across Europe, contributing to educational materials, exhibitions, interpretation centers, and publications.
In 2014, he was awarded the first prize in the 1st Naturalist Painting Competition organized by SEO/BirdLife, and in 2019, he created the official poster for the prestigious International Birdwatching Tourism Fair (FIO-Extremadura). In 2020, he published his first painting book, Donyanae Lumen, a journey through his artistic work in the Doñana National Park, which he expanded with a second volume in early 2025.
He currently works as a graphic designer and illustrator at the Casa de la Ciencia Museum in Seville, part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
