Girls Who Click
Girls Who Click is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women through nature photography. By offering free workshops led by professional female photographers, the organization aims to inspire the next generation of conservationists while promoting gender equality in a traditionally male-dominated field. Girls Who Click believes in the power of visual storytelling to protect the planet and strives to equip young women with the skills, confidence, and community to make a lasting impact.
Alejandra Rendón
Wildlife photographer and conservation storyteller, based in Barcelona and originally from Colombia, Alejandra holds a PhD in Computational Chemistry and has oriented her career toward science communication through imagery. She combines her photographic work with storytelling: she is the author of the texts in the book Portfolio 1, alongside photographer Rafael Armada, and is currently working with him on a second joint project titled Beyond the Water, focused on flying fish as symbols of marine ecosystems in transformation. Since 2022, she has been an ambassador for Girls Who Click, an international organization that supports young women in nature photography.
Her projects blend aesthetics, science, and environmental awareness. Through images and narrative, her work invites us to look differently at the natural world we inhabit. Alejandra encourages us to see wildlife as both a witness and a victim of the major issues of our time: economic development, ecological crisis, inequality, and neglect. Because when we truly learn to see, nature alone is enough to speak of everything.
